This week in Hereford
We have a very exciting week ahead of us! Year 2 are showing what they know with the start of their end of Key Stage 1 assessments. Miss Holden will be taking children in small groups to complete some quizzes and the children are very excited to show off their learning.
Miss Holden has planned a very exciting week. Children will be completing their DT: Food project where they will learn lots of cooking skills: weighing, peeling, grating and then assembling. The children will learn about food hygiene and they will have a chance to make their own healthy wrap. Children will also complete a GECKO maths, GECKO SPVG as well as finishing their art inspired work, taking inspiration from Klee. Children will be completing maths revision sessions, recapping previous learning, especially place value, the four operations and fractions. In RE we will be looking at both the Jewish and Christian ideas about looking after the world, exploring the account of Adam and Eve in Genesis 2.
Another HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to the Tombola and for those that bought tickets. We raised just under £200 to go towards purchasing books for Waunifer School in Kenya.
