ADMISSIONS
Our vision to provide the 'rich soil' that is needed to enable all to develop deep roots and flourish is at the heart of our philosophy, and we welcomes new members to our 'Amberley family'.
Our admissions policy is updated by DGAT annually, in line with Gloucestershire County Council guidelines, whilst ensuring our distinctive Christian character is reflected.
Please see the attached policy and weblink for an explanation of the process that needs to be followed in order to apply for a place at Amberley Parochial School.
More information about school admissions, from Gloucestershire County Council, including details of the process involved, can be found by using this link.
If an in-year application is unsuccessful, parents have the legal right to appeal. Please contact the school office for the relevant forms on admin@amb.dgat.org.uk.
Due to the restrictions regarding the infant class sizes in key stage one, an Appeal Panel can only override this decision under the School Admissions Appeals Code (2022) where they are satisfied that:
• a place was refused in error, i.e. that a place would have been offered if the admission arrangements had been properly implemented or
• the decision to refuse admission was ‘unreasonable’, i.e. that the decision was not one which a reasonable admission authority would make in the circumstances of the case.
