Attendance
At Amberley, our vision is 'providing the rich soil that enables our children to develop deep roots and flourish.' Just like plants need consistent care to grow strong and healthy, children need regular attendance to build firm foundations for learning. Every day in school adds to the “rich soil” of knowledge, friendships, and experiences that help them thrive. Missing days can make it harder for those roots to grow deep, which can affect confidence and progress.

We understand that barriers to attendance are complex, and that some pupils find it harder than others to attend school; therefore, we will continue to prioritise cultivating a safe and supportive environment at school, as well as strong and trusting relationships with pupils and parents.
By ensuring your child is in school every day, you’re giving them the best chance to flourish – academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can nurture strong roots for a bright future.
Each child should be in school every day the school is open.
