SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
AND DISABILITIES
At Amberley Parochial School, we value each and every child and we aim to provide the right learning conditions in order for all to flourish, meeting each child's individual needs. There are times when some children require additional or specialist support, in order to help them access the curriculum and make progress in their learning. This is known as Special Educational Needs. The documents downloadable here sets out our approach to supporting these children.
We work in line with the Gloucestershire Graduated Pathway of support to ensure all children with additional needs have an appropriate plan in place to ensure all the professionals and carers involved in their lives, as well as the children themselves, know what their needs are and how they can best be supported. This could include a MyPlan, MyPlan+ or EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) where appropriate.
Mrs C Atherton is the SEND Coordinator for the school and can be contacted either through the school office using the contact details at the foot of the page or via catherton@amb.dgat.org.uk
