This week in Friesian Class...

This week in Friesian Class we will be ending our RE unit by considering an answer to our over-arching question: 'What kind of world did Jesus want?' We will be learning about what Jesus' actions towards outcasts mean to a Christian and how this might affect people of other faiths and people of no faith.

In English, we will be continuing our story writing journey that we started a the end of last week. The children enjoyed exploring the new text 'Into The Forest' by Anthony Browne with Mrs Stevens last week and this week the children have already boxed up and will be writing the opening, build up, problem, resolution and ending. In maths, Y4 are continuing to problem solve using money by adding and subtracting amounts of money and giving change. We will be moving onto time at the end of the week in preparation for next term. Y3 are already well underway with their time topic and they have enjoyed exploring this with Mrs Harbord.

In Immersion Curriculum, we are continuing our Living Things and Their Habitats topic in Science. We will be working on our on-going milestones this week by looking at drawing conclusions from data and creating our own representations of data.

On Wednesday, KS2 have the pleasure of being immersed in a Miniature Garden workshop for part of the afternoon!

On Thursday, we will be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee and the children can come into school wearing red, white and blue. We will be completing lots of themed activities during the day! Also on this day, Longford Mill (Green House) will be having their End of Spring 2 house treat that has been specially organised by Miss Cale.

Have a fantastic half term, take time to relax and I will see you for our final term!

Miss Rudge
