This Week in Dexter Class
This week in Dexter class, we will be continuing our writing of Jack and the Beanstalk, using our phonic knowledge and using the vocabulary we have discussed as part of our story retelling.
In RE, we will be finding out about the links between new life and Christian beliefs about Easter. We will be talking about signs of Spring and will be introduced to a basic over view of the events of Holy week, which we will be looking at in more detail over the coming weeks.
In phonics, we will be learning to read and write words with adjacent consonants, which cause us to pronounce sounds less clearly (splat, pram etc) and can cause problems with spelling.
In maths, we will be continuing our work on the numbers 9 and 10 and will be counting backwards, finding ways to make 10 and ordering numbers, as well as saying what is one more and one less than a given number.
We will be welly walking on Wednesday, where we will be spotting signs of spring and learning to identify some of the flowers that grow in the Guardianship.
