This week in Dexter class, we will be looking at high frequency and tricky words that we have learned so far and trying to improve the speed of our recall. We will also be looking at words with three consonants in a cluster at the start. This is called a consonant blend. In maths, we are looking at problem solving and investigation. We will be focusing on half and double, and will be using bother shape and number. We will also be completing our rapid recall challenges.
On Tuesday morning, the children will go into Miss Holden's class and will spend time getting used to being in a year 1/2 class. It will give them the opportunity to get to know the other children better and continue the transition process by getting used to the new surroundings. Throughout the next few weeks, they will spend more time with Miss Holden in preparation for September. We will be welly walking after break on Tuesday and the children will have the opportunity to talk to us about any worries they have, so that we can address them before September.
Messy Church takes place after school on Tuesday. There are lots of lovely activities for the children to take part in, so we hope to see you there.
