This week in Dexter class

Welcome back to all our Dexter class children. The children have all returned full of stories of their time spent with families and friends. I am please that they all seem to be so keen as this term will be a busy one!

We will soon be starting preparations for the Nativity, we have our phonics curriculum evening on Thursday and the sign up sheets for Parents evening are now available in the school entrance lobby.

We are continuing our Maths mastery approach, looking at one more and one less, using short number sentences to solve problems and how to partition numbers up to 5.

In our literacy/guided reading we will be focusing on Supertato by Sue Hendra, for the next couple of weeks, linking the themes of service and being 'super' throughout all areas of learning.

Our value this term is Service and we will be looking at this in detail, asking some Big Questions and talking about Spirituality and what this looks like for our youngest learners.

Please do come along to the phonics presentation on Thursday 5:45pm-6:45pm if you are able to and don't forget to sign up for parents evening.
