This week in Belted Galloway class

This week in Belted Galloway class we are beginning our two week Science topic of Humans. We will be looking at the circulatory system, considering the human life cycle and carrying out fair tests involving heart rates to see the effects of different types of exercise. We will be finishing our extended narrative on the story 'Pirate Pete's Perilous Voyage' and the children will be using what they have learnt in this journey to craft their own extended stories. Many are excited that they are writing far more than they ever have before! In maths, we will be extending the children's multiplication methods of calculation. The children will be working through a continuum where they tackle increasingly tricky content throughout the week. In computing, we continue to look at codes and ciphers. This week we will be looking at the Caesar cipher and using technology to speed up the processes of deciphering code.
