Sports Day and Fun Run (EYFS and KS1)

On Friday, we finally managed to hold our Sports Day for our Dexter (EYFS) and Hereford (KS1) classes. It was a lovely event and the weather was just right. It was a shame we couldn't have friends and family coming to spectate this year but the children really made up for it with their cheering and amazing support of one another.

We started proceedings with the Amberley Fun Run which was organised by our fantastic PTA to raise funds for our school. This involved running several circuits of the School Green and navigating a wide variety of obstacles, putting our agility to the test! We then held our races and relays. At the end of the morning we calculated the scores and there is now only 1 point between the Yellows (Longford Mill) and the Reds (Ruskin Mill) but even more amazingly, there are only 4 points between the team in first place and the team in fourth place! All the points will be added together next week when KS2- Belted Galloway and Friesian, will hopefully be able to compete in their events on Friday. So, it's all to play for, come on Blues (Egypt Mill) and Greens (Dunkirk Mill), it's anyone's to win!
