RSHE Consultation
Relationships, Sex and Health Education
It is a statutory requirement that all schools must consult with parents and pupils about the RSHE curriculum they provide.
The DfE states that: "Parents are not able to veto curriculum content, but schools must consult with parents when developing their RSHE policy and it is right that they are able to see what their children are being taught, especially in relation to sensitive topics, and schools should respond positively to requests from parents to see material." RSHE Guidance, DfE, 2025.
At Amberley, we want to make clear the benefits of RSHE on children's physical and mental wellbeing, as well as playing a key role in safeguarding children.
