WALA local history

Today, Mary and Alison from the local community gave us a guided tour of the local area to tell us about the history of the shops and other buildings.

We also discussed the money that was used and we were able to handle some of the old coins!

Mary also brought in some samples of brown and greaseproof paper that they would’ve used to wrap the food in that was bought from the local shops. This gave us food for thought about packaging for the Amberley Shop on the Common!
