This week in Hereford

This week in maths we will continue to find fractions of amounts and sets of objects, ensuring that we are dividing by the bottom of our fractions and Y2s multiplying by the top of our fraction. This concept has been quite tricky when finding 3/4.

In English we are retelling the story of 'The Tiger who came for tea.' Y1 have broken this into sections: beginning, middle and end whilst Y2 have looked at sorting the story into the opening, build up, problem, resolution and ending. We will then use this structure to write the sections of the story, using our strong sentence success criteria.

We have moved on in RE from Islam and are focusing on Easter and why it is important to Christians. We will be looking at the Easter story, breaking it into: Jesus arriving in Jerusalem, Jesus being betrayed, his crucifixion, the tomb being empty - rising from the dead and when he visits his Disciples and Mary Magdalene.

We are looking forward to continuing with music and composing whilst in computing we are being game testers and making predictions.

Don't forget - we are offering dance club with Miss Griffiths on a Tuesday after school. If your child is interesting in joining, please confirm their attendance with Mrs Russell.
