This week in Hereford

We are really excited to be starting a new, non-fiction topic of letter writing this week. We will be basing our writing around the story of Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. We will be finding the features of letters, comparing letters and writing our own, for different purposes.

Tuesday will be our final lesson on division before we move onto fractions of number and shape.

We are continuing to program and debug our sprites during computing, instructing them to move to different planets. We are excited to show Mrs Crampton what we have learned as she is visiting us Monday afternoon.

In RE we are continuing to look at Islam where we are exploring the Muslim place of worship, the mosque. We will be looking at what can be found in the mosque, labelling and discussing the objects, comparing these to a Christian church.

This is Miss Lee's last week in Hereford Class. She is returning to university next week and then after half term, completing her second placement in KS2 at another school. Miss Lee will return in Summer 1 for her final placement in Hereford.

Miss Griffiths will be joining us after half term, who is also a student teacher. She has previously been in a mixed Y3/4 class and will be gaining experience in our classroom working alongside myself, Mrs Norris and the wonderful children we have in the class!
