This week in Belted Galloway

This week, Belted Galloway class will be starting the week off in style with a trip to Bristol to take part in a science day at the 'We The Curious' interactive centre. We will be visiting the planetarium and taking part in a workshop about the Earth, Sun and Moon, which will really focus the children at the start of our new topic.

In English, we are in the middle of our topic on Non-Chronological Reports: following our skills work last week, the children will write their own report this week, under my guidance, with regular points where they consider how their work meets the success criteria.

In RE, we are at the beginning of a topic called Science and Religion: Complementary or Conflicting. This explores the creation story, and considers different interpretations of it, allowing the children to explore thier own ideas and views.
