This Week in Friesian Class

This week, it feels like we are all getting used to being back at school. So far, we have continued to write our substitution version of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. The children are really enjoying changing the characters slightly and putting their own spin on it. During this English unit, we are focusing on using description throughout a story, beginning with a fantastic setting description. We will also be looking at use of inverted commas and punctuation for speech. In maths, we are continuing with out unit on multiplication and division. This week, we will look at recalling division fact for the tables we know, as well as using a formal written method for division.

In our 'Extreme Survival' topic lessons, we will look at the world's deserts and discuss how different deserts can be, depending on where they are in the world. In science, we will plan an investigation based around 'The Water Cycle'.

On Friday, many of the children will be taking part in Young Voices. A letter has gone out today with information about the trip. Thank you for your continued support.
