This Week in Belted Galloway Class
Welcome back to another term and we hope you all had restful breaks. This term starts with a four day week, but is exceptionally packed in that time! This week, Year 6 pupils will embark on their Bikeability training, where they will have the chance to learn the skills needed to cycle safely on the local roads. In English this week, the children will be working independently on a writing project with the working title of Environment: this is part of the Rotary Club's annual writing competition, which we hope some children will choose to enter their writing into. Even if they don't enter the competition, the skills of writing without being directed, editing, drafting and proof-reading will be really valuable for our children. Our Immersion Curriculum topic this week is PSHCE: we will be looking at the British Values of Liberty and Respect, focussing on personal opinions and personal identities. We will also be beginning our new Christian Value of Service, and will be exploring this value in more depth.
