This will be an incredibly busy first week back after half term, so we hope your child has had a good rest at half term! Our topic this week with be World War 2, where we will be looking at the reasons behind the war and considering evidence from the time, such as radio speeches from Chamberlain and Churchill. Year 6 pupils will have the opportunity to hone their cycling skills as they take part in 'Bikeability' this week, while all children will be working with local artist Sam Adams on some exciting art work linked to spirituality that will be very prominent in school soon. In maths, we will be looking at the order of operations (BIDMAS or BODMAS, depending how old you are!) and multiplying and dividing decimal and whole numbers by powers of 10. On Friday, some of our pupils will have the chance to act as guides, showing prospective new parents around as part of the open morning.
