The Week in Belted Galloway class

This week we will be continuing our English block of work on Discussion texts. The children will be exploring a range of topics, from schools having daily PE lessons to the age-old school uniform debate and the benefits of banning playtime! Developing the skills of being balanced in their thoughts and opinions and they way they express themselves will be critical. Hopefully they will share some of their views with you. In Maths we will be continuing our work in fractions to calculate fractions of quantities and convert between mixed and improper fractions. Club Maths will also make an appearance this week, with the children keen to beat their personal best scores. In computing, we will be looking at using spreadsheets to perform calculations, while we will conclude our history topic on the Invaders, with specific emphasis on the Anglo Saxons.
