Health and Wellbeing Week

We found health and wellbeing week really interesting and it made us aware of how we can make our bodies and minds healthy. We learnt the 5 ways of wellbeing:

connect, notice, mindfulness, physical activity and generosity.

Generosity:

We learnt about the ripple effect, where if you brighten up someone else’s day, they will take that to mind and brighten another person’s day and so on and so on, making the world a better place. It doesn’t have to be a gift, just a smile or a helping hand.

Physical Activity:

We found out that doing physical activity will keep our body healthy and healthy body = healthy mind. We also found that doing it with friends makes it more enjoyable as we found out after doing the daily mile.

Connect:

We were taught that connecting with people can help your mental wellbeing. It can often help to share a problem with a friend or family member. While doing the daily mile, we noticed that socializing with people you would not usually talk to helps our mind stay healthy.

Notice:

We understand that noticing the world around us is a crucial part of our mind state and wellbeing. It is important to sometimes zone out from everything else and focus on the world around us.

Mindfulness:

We learnt that being mindful is important to our mental health. We learned to sit back and think about what you have done and will do. Focus not just on the good but the bad as well. Mindfulness is an essential skill for life.

Thank you for reading.
