This week, we will be looking back and recapping on much of our learning since January. This will allow us to see which areas need further practise. In addition, in maths, Year 4 will be continuing with their work on decimals, and Year 3 on fractions, and we will all be taking up the rapid recall challenge.

In English, we will be continuing our writing journey on journey stories (a 'journey journey' as we have started to call it!) based on The Firework Maker's Daughter, by Philip Pullman. We will be looking at the use of carefully selected vocabulary and syntax to create suspense and drama.

In our Immersion Curriculum time, we will be finishing off our work on maps before becoming scientists and learning about different states of matter. I am sure that the many experiments we have planned will be well received!

In computing, we will be continuing to use Scratch, the online MIT coding software to create code that will build up to sequence sound. The children will also be focusing on aspects that involve only sharing information with people they choose to and can trust.
