This Week in Friesian Class

This week, we will be finishing off our work as historians, and will be starting a new unit of learning as scientists, where we will be learning about plant growth. The celebration for our work about the changes between the Stone Age and the Iron Age in Britain will take the form of a trip to an Iron Age settlement near Bourton-on-the-Water in a few weeks' time. Please keep an eye out for a letter coming home soon.

In maths, the Year 4 children will be learning about division and will be using formal methods to divide larger numbers. Year 3 will be also be dividing, before moving to work on length.

In English, we will be continuing our work on Romeo and Juliet and will soon be planning our own version, using the key elements of a tragedy that we have identified.

Thank you all for completing the computing permission forms. This week, we will be introducing Canva, an online desktop publishing site, that we will be using to create presentations about our learning in school.

in RE, we will be learning about ways in which Hindu people might worship in the home. Mrs Harbord has been really impressed with the children's work in RE so far, and it has been lovely to hear so many positive comments about their learning from the children themselves.
