This Week in Friesian Class

This week in Friesian class, we will be continuing our writing journey using Romeo and Juliet as our inspiration. The children have been making fabulous attempts to include more complex sentence structures and literary devices, and we will continue to look at how these can be incorporated into our writing in order to develop it.

In maths, the Year 4 children will be looking at formal written methods for multiplication and continuing to develop confidence in recalling multiplication tables. The Year 3 children will be looking at division and developing understanding before moving towards formal written methods.

In computing, we will be starting our new unit on desk top publishing. If you have not already completed the online permission for Canva, I would be very grateful if you could do so ASAP! https://forms.office.com/e/sHB0jDDhS1

In RE, we will be looking at the Hindu concept of Dharma and how traditions and belief impact on daily life.

In our work as Historians, we will be looking at the societal changes that occurred as a result of the Neolithic Revolution and making links between development as a result of the discovery of iron, and the resulting impact on daily life.

It is set to be another busy week and Mrs Harbord and I are thrilled to see that the children are so engaged in their learning - it really does make for a lovely atmosphere in class!
