This Week in Dexter Class

This week in Dexter class, we will be learning about incarnation in RE and retelling the Nativity story. We will be learning about the different people in the story and their importance to Christians.

In maths, we will be solving problems which will develop our understanding of the compositions of numbers to 5 and aid our recall of these number bonds.

In literacy, language and communication, we will be continuing to focus on the story, 'Owl Babies' by Martin Waddell and will be retelling and acting out the story, and writing short captions to go with it. We will also make links between the characters of the book and other nocturnal animals. We will learn about creatures that hibernate and will even be making hedgehogs from natural materials, which we will find a safe place for and leave to hibernate on Tuesday's welly walk.

in phonics, we will be developing our segmenting and blending skills as we learn the sounds z, zz and recap those we have already learned.
