This week in Belted Galloway class

This week in Belted Galloway class we will be finishing our narratives and beginning to make plans for our entries into the Rotary club's annual writing competition. The children are proud of their extended writes: many have admitted they have never written such complicated or detailed stories before!

In maths we are exploring indices and powers: in the past, this was something that was not included in the primary school curriculum, so it is great to see the children face the challenges of cube numbers and square rooting! It is also a club maths week, with the children having a chance to achieve personal bests.

In science, we will complete our work on the human body by focusing on the circulatory system. To celebrate the end of the topic, the children will create an animation that explains how this system work.
