This week in Hereford Class

In English this week we are continuing the journey, which we started at the end of last week - the story of 'Gorilla' by Anthony Browne. We have so far: learnt the story, retold the story and boxed up the story into beginning, middle and end (Y1) and opening, build up, problem and resolution (Y2). We will be unpicking the story and then we will go onto writing our own versions of it, before innovating it to make our own stories.

In maths we are having a week on calculation whereby we are looking at the four operations but with missing numbers as well as having an emphasis on rapid recall.

Our immersion curriculum topic changes this week to Art where we are printing. We are going to be designing wallpaper for Miss Holden's new house, We will be printing using tiles as well as other items from the environment. This wallpaper will be displayed in the hall at the end of next week for you all to see.
