This week in Dexter class

It was lovely to see the children from Dexter class performing at the Harvest service in Church on Sunday. They were a credit to the school.

This week in maths we will be talking about sorting and grouping. We started today by sorting ourselves into groups based on eye and hair colour. We talked about which group had the most or the least and the difference between amounts. We will look at different ways to record our findings such as tally charts.

Our literacy learning continues to focus on the stories of Oliver Jeffers including Lost and Found and The Incredible Book Eating Boy. We are talking about all the different types of books available to us, and the Penguin will be helping us to learn our tricky words.

We will be getting creative with some Autumn based craft activities later in the week.
