This week in Belted Galloway class

This week we will be completing an art study of trees, and will be combining painting and sketching skills to do this. The children will be applying atmospheric washes prior to adding their trees, looking at the specific detail of the branches, twigs and leaves. On Wednesday, the children will have the chance to create their own individual and creative pieces following the previous two days of creating work inspired by specific images. In English, we will be starting a short block of work on tragedy narratives: we will be looking at the story line of Shakespeare's Macbeth, and we will be retelling the plot through the medium of drama before eventually moving on to rewriting the story using a more formal and dated historic tone. In maths, we will be consolidating work on calculating with fractions, before making links with these and decimals.
