This week in Hereford Class

This week in Hereford Class we are wrapping up our English and Maths by showing what we know. This way we can identify any areas which need work and spend some time on these before we move up to the next year group.

We are beginning a unit on sculpture where we will be using techniques such as rolling, cutting, moulding and carving. We will be making models with clay, paper, straws and card.

In RE we are reflecting on our value of respect and linking this with our Bible story of Moses and the Burning Bush. We will be making links to Moses showing respect by listening to the word of God and thinking about how we can use this in our own lives. The children mentioned that this story also links with the parable of The Sower.

You should have received your child's report this afternoon. They were all sent home in named envelopes. I hope that you enjoy reading these and I am sure that you will all be incredibly proud of them and the progress they have made, especially after a very strange year in lockdown and a huge part of that being remote teaching.
