This week in Hereford

This week in Hereford we are excited to be retelling the story of Amazing Grace in our own words. We have really enjoyed this story and the discussions we have had. We are so proud of Grace for standing up for what she believes in and landing the part of Peter Pan despite her gender and race. We made some excellent links with our previous learning 'Wonder Women' and Rosa Parks. It is always so amazing when children make connections with their learning!

In Maths, we are looking at pictograms, we are interpreting data and answering questions around key mathematical vocabulary: the difference, the least, the most, how many more... and understanding how to tackle these using calculations. Children will go on to construct their own pictograms towards the end of the week.

In the Immersion Curriculum, we continue with Science: Animals & Habitats and we are so excited to celebrate this topic with our trip on Wednesday 12th July. This week we will be looking at habitats, microhabitats and food chains and looking at home animals and plants rely on each other as a source of energy in the different habitats.

In RE, we continue to look at special places to both Muslims and Christians, thinking about how they show respect for their special and sacred items.
