This Week in Dexter Class
This week in Dexter class, in RE we will be learning about Hindu beliefs and how many Hindu people have shrines in their homes. We will be noting similarities and differences between Christian worship and Hindu worship. In maths, we will be looking at maps, comparing size and distance and discussing directions. Alongside this, we will be continuing to develop our adding and subtracting skills by using number lines to count on and back.
In phonics, we will be recapping the trickier trigraph igh and revisiting ure, ear and air. Mrs Lury and Mrs Smith's group will be introducing ir as an alternative spelling to ur/er.
In English, we will be reading Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees and using it as a focus for highlighting how we have the ability to effect how others feel and how can celebrate our differences.
We will be welly walking on Monday this week.
