This week in Dexter Class
Welcome back! We hope you all had a pleasant half term break.
Over the next few weeks we will be changing our phonics groupings. We will be looking at applying phonics knowledge when writing longer sentences this week, and practising the high frequency and tricky words that we have learned.
In maths, we will be looking at time, ordering and sequencing events, and subtracting and adding using number lines and objects.
We will also be developing our scientific knowledge this week with a series of experiments surrounding the properties of materials. The children will be putting their critical thinking skills to work in order to explain how and why things happen.
We will be introducing our new value, Respect, in RE and will be continuing to develop our physical skills in PE.
We will not be welly walking this week, but would ask that in preparation for our next visit to the Guardianship, you ensure that your child has some light weight trousers/ leggings so that their legs are protected from bites and stings, and a hat for sun protection. Thank you for your continued support.
