This week in Dexter Class
Well, as another week of uncertainty begins, we are continuing to try and keep things as normal and stable for our youngest children at Amberley. We are encouraging good hygiene at all times and giving children all the usual opportunities to enjoy their learning whilst keeping everyone as healthy and safe as we can. Our Dexter class are extremely resilient and are having as much fun as ever and I hope we can keep it that way.
We are focusing on the story of the Little Red Hen and the children are able to retell it already! We are focusing on rhyming strings, looking at how we open a story and also recapping on phonics learning, including our high frequency/ tricky words.
Our worship continues to focus on the value of forgiveness and the children are really developing a good understanding of what it really means to be able to say sorry and mean it!
Our maths work is focused on adding and subtracting groups and quantities within 20. We have been having lots of fun with this and it was really lovely to see Mr Gegg, our Mathematics Governor when he visited us this week.
