Rotary Young Artist Competition 2023-24-Rebuilding
Amberley School art club this term will involve the Year 3 and 4 children creating individual or collaborative art work for the Rotary Club Young Artist Competition. The first heat will be held in Nailsworth and then if successful the entrants will go onto District and potentially National finals. We have some extremely talented artists in the school and I am hoping that the children who are taking part in art club this term will enjoy the opportunity to work on a project. I would like to open the competition to other children within the school but they would need to do this in their own time and then submit via me so I can provide a form.
The Theme for the Young Artist competition is simply ‘Rebuilding’ so it gives young people the widest opportunity to share their creative talents in showing what it means to them. See the PowerPoint for some inspiration around the theme of rebuilding. The aims and objectives of the competition are to encourage young people to:
• be creative
• develop skills in using traditional, contemporary or digital media
• demonstrate interpretation of the topic
• express personal ideas through a selected medium
