This week in Hereford Class

This week in Hereford Class we are excited to have the Year 1 children join in with the immersion curriculum as they will be in class full time. This week it is Art where we are mark making. We will be using lines, dots, colouring and tones in order to create a class display following the skills that we have been taught. Parents are invited in after school on Thursday to see the display of the children's finished art work.

In English we are continuing the journey of 'Knuffle Bunny' where we are retelling the story in sections before innovating it and writing out own.

In Maths we will be moving onto addition, following our place value unit.

We will continue to look at the creation story in RE and will be retelling the story in our own words, linking this closely to harvest.

In computing we are continuing with our coding topic and the Y1s will be taught by the Y2 about how to put algorithms into a sprite in order for it to get to its required destination. They will be using a set of instructions to do so and debugging the sprites where necessary.

Please note: due to no golden book assembly last week, the children selected on Thursday will be presented with an award this Friday 27th September at 2.45pm.
